Duck Lake is located 15 minutes east of Parry Sound.

The cottages are only for friends and family.

Cottage retreats (nonsmoking, no pets) are available at 17 Leslie Lane (1100 sq ft), 13 Leslie Lane (560 sq ft), or 23B Duck Lake Road (380 sq ft). Each cottage is equipped with the basic amenities necessary for a comfortable summer getaway. Every effort is made to ensure that household supplies are available (i.e. toilet paper, paper towels, dish soap, coffee filters, etc.), we ask that guests replace as necessary.

None of the cottages enlists a cleaning service, so as a condition of the damage deposit guests are required to leave the cottage clean when you leave.

The cottages on Leslie Lane offer beautiful southwest views, while 23B Duck Lake Road looks west across the lake. Larger families looking for more space and a fully equipped kitchen, including dishwasher, will enjoy the amenities of 17 Leslie Lane. If your preference is to have easy access to a paddleboat, canoe, and kayaks, then 13 Leslie Lane may best suit your needs. The smaller cottage at 23B Duck Lake Road is perfect for a small family looking for a relaxing getaway on a gentle sloping beach.

The cottages are conveniently located less than 1 km from a variety store, LCBO / Beer Store outlet, and a community library offering free WiFi.

Guests are asked to dispose of garbage and recycling at the end of their stay at the Waste Landfill site located 3 kms away in Orrville (see map).

A common question is about a boat launch. Duck Lake does not have a public boat lauch; however, there is a boat lauch on the adjacent Maple Lake (see map). Unfortunately the ability to get a boat from Maple Lake to Duck Lake depends on the size of the boat and the water level at any given time during the year. When the water level is low there is less than 2 feet of depth where Maple enters into Duck Lake.

In addition to personal items, the following should be on your checklist of items to pack:

  • Drinking Water (the tap water is unfiltered water from the lake and should NOT be used for general consumption)
  • Linens and/or Sleeping bags
  • Pillows
  • Towels
  • Dish Towels
